Caring for my child naturally, does it really work

Caring for my child naturally, does it really work?

Early childhood is often synonymous with disease. Children who “build their immunity” have to face multiple sores, colds, coughs, pimples, or fever spikes! At daycare or school, germs are happily shared – especially during the winter months. You won’t escape it altogether. But it is nevertheless possible to limit these inconveniences and have a healthy child by adopting a few simple rules of life, combined with natural, preventive, and curative care.

Plants, granules, or buds?

Phytotherapy ( the use of plants), gemmotherapy (the use of buds ), aromatherapy (the very careful use – especially when dealing with young children – of essential oils ), and homeopathy are very effective natural ways to treat childrenThey are respectful of the body’s learning in the face of illness: they help it to defend itself, unlike many allopathic treatments which act rather in its place – even if they are of course sometimes useful. The principle of natural medicine is simple: if the body is accustomed to having to overcome pathologies and infections, especially benign ones, on its own, it will “remember” it and can do it again the next time. This autoimmunity is fundamental in pediatrics since early childhood is a period of full construction of the body’s functioning and defense “patterns”.

Also, think about supplements with natural vitamins and nutrients

Combined with a healthy and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle, food supplements (probiotics, vitamin complexes, remineralizing plants, trace elements, etc.) support the child’s immune system. The treatments are to be used either preventively – by cures in autumn and spring – or curatively as soon as the infection appears, in addition to the targeted treatment, over a period of 3 weeks to 1 month.

“Natural” tips:

Against colic and regurgitation in babies

A mineralizing bottle that reduces acidity: infuse 1 or 2 soothing plants (linden, chamomile, hops, lemon balm, hawthorn, valerian, etc.) in 50 ml of mineral water (the water must simmer and not boil).
When the water has cooled down, add:
• 3 pipettes of clay water
• 1/8 sachet of rehydration solution
• 1/8 sachet of probiotic (keep the rest in the refrigerator)
• any treatments homeopathic medicines in progress (2 granules of each chosen treatment)
• 1 teaspoon of acacia honey (optional)

When and how to give this bottle?
For the first month, give your baby this mixture by pipette in addition to the clay water – in the same dosage. In the following months, you can use a bottle between feedings or milk bottles and give it at night.
This mixture will keep for 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator. You can prepare a large bottle for 1 or 2 days, but the teat must be washed after each dose.

Against lice

Preventive care
Certain essential oils (HE) has long been known for their anti-lice properties, both preventive and curative: lavender, lavender, tea tree, niaouli, lemon, lemon eucalyptus, geranium, ravensara (or ravintsara), palmarosa.

Homemade preventive shampoo
Choose 2 or 3 of these essential oils and add them to the usual shampoo:
• The total proportion will be around 8% for children over 18 months or 12 kg (5% for children under 18 months or 12 kg). That is 18 (or 11) drops in total for a 250 ml bottle. (That is, in a number of drops: 8 (5) drops of lavender, 5 (3) drops of tea tree, 5 (3) drops of citrus.)
• Stir well because EOs do not dissolve in water: they must therefore always be used mixed in soaps or oils.

When the lice are there
• You can use these same essential oils, diluted in jojoba or coconut vegetable oils (or olive oil, which you always have on hand), to make masks. This help smothers the lice and loosens the nits from the hair.
Attention: the proportions are then 8 (5) drops of EO in total for an application in 100 ml of oil.
• Apply meticulously all over the scalp (line by line), leave for 1 hour, then pass a fine comb soaked in white vinegar.
• Then wash the hair with the shampoo recipe mentioned above.
• Daily washing is required for at least 10 days.
• Be sure to wash the sheets, clothes, cuddly toys, etc. at 60°C, adding 20 to 30 drops of tea tree and lavender EO to the detergent.

The advantages of homeopathy
• In the event of infestation at school or contamination: PSORINUM 15 CH, 1 dose per week, and PEDICULUS CAPITA 5 CH, 2 pellets, morning and evening, until the problem is resolved.
• For small “lice heads”, we can also give: STAPHYSAGRIA, 1 dose in 5 CH on the first day, in 9 CH on the second day, and in 15 CH on the third day.

A “homemade” nasal spray to prevent infections

Spray 2 or 3 times in the nose, morning and evening, using an empty nasal sprayer, the following mixture:
• 2 to 3 pods of physiological serum
• 2 ampoules of silver granions
• 1 ampoule of granions d ‘or
Then apply a drop of the following mixture of essential oils (EO) under each nostril:
• 5 drops of true lavender EO
• 5 drops of tea tree EO
(or use the ready-made IMUNARM 4B preparation from the ETNAS laboratory)
